The Story
Donita Ayotte grew up in Harrah, Oklahoma, fell in love with kolaches in Houston, and introduced them to Aroostook County. Before September 2023, northern Maine had never tasted one.
We bake every kolache by hand, every morning, in Van Buren — a small town of 1,700 on the St. John River that deserved something worth waking up for.
